Bhubaneswar: The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme has been launched by the Union Government on 3 October, 2024. The young generation will be able to avail career opportunities through this scheme in the top companies in India. This is reported as the most innovative scheme that the central government has introduced for providing career opportunities to the youth of the country.
The scheme is aimed to give internships in top 500 companies in India, providing as an estimated 1 crore internships over the time period of five years. The candidates who get selected will get a monthly stipend of Rs 5, 000 along with a one time financial assistance of Rs 6, 000 for their financial support during the internship period.

After registering the candidates must fill up the form to proceed further in availing the PM Internship Scheme.
How to Register for the PM Internship Scheme
Visit the portal by entering pminternship.mca.gov.in in your internet browser
Click on the ‘Register Now’ tab and enter your mobile number in the ‘Register Youth’ pop-up
You will receive an OTP on the provided number
Enter the OTP to generate a password
After your first login, update your password
Create your user profile by filling out the required information
Verify your profile by giving KYC information using either Adhaar card authentication or Digilocker
Enter your personal, residential and bank details to ensure to receive internship payments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

Complete the registration process by providing your personal and educational details
The portal will automatically generate your resume based on the information you provided during registration
Use the portal’s browsing feature to explore internship opportunities that align with your preferences, such as sector, location, and role
Apply for at least five internship opportunities that interest you, according to your qualifications and preferences
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their applications and the requirements set by partner companies
Selected companies will review the shortlisted candidates and extend offers based on their selection criteria
Once you receive an internship offer, confirm your acceptance via the portal
