Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has stressed upon animal husbandry for increasing income among the farmers. cM has cited that maximum of our farmers are either small, medium farmers or landless, so it is the only suitable way for them to keep the livelihood stable and become financially sound. Mr Majhi has m mentioned on this topic in sidelines of the 23rd General Session of Odisha State Non-Gazetted Veterinary Professionals Association.
CM expressed that animal husbandry is one of the oldest form of farming in the human history and now in the modern times this form of farming has reached at new height as many professional businesses. He requested the young mass to make animal husbandry an option of their career and take this field to new levels.
By praising the Veterinary Department CM stated it is encouraging to highlight the technical aspects they have introduced for the farming in relation to animal husbandry as a profession. It should be promoted to be profitable, and respectful profession by the Veterinary Department by making people aware about the government schemes and facilities in this field.
The state government has granted Rs 697 crores in the budget of the current year to promote and support this initiative of animal resource development. There are other new innovative schemes like the Chief Minister’s Kamdhenu Yojana and Chief Minister’s Animal Welfare Yojana which will be launched to amplify animal welfare and milk production.
