Cyclone Dana Threatens Odisha Coastal Regions

Bhubaneswar:T he cyclone fear has created panic amongst the people of Odisha. The month of October is known as the month of cyclone in Odisha State and the coastal states in our country. There has been a long history of cyclones that have hit the state in October month in the past, To name them Hudhud, Phillin, super cyclone 1999, etc. As the depression and low pressure is coming closer the people are getting frightened of facing the wrath of the Nature.

The coastal districts in the state are going to face the storm majorly. Balasore, Puri, Bhadrak districts are in preparation mode to face the cyclone by directing the fishermen and the people who live near the coast to be alert and careful.  The rescue teams and the shelters are kept on alert. The state government has notified all the district administrations to remain prepared for the confrontation. All the coastal districts such as Kendrapara, Jagatsinghapur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Puri, Khorda, Cuttack are on high alert.

Cyclonic Storm Dana is predicted to be hitting the coast of Odisha- West Bengal by October 24. Low pressure will intensify by 22 October. As per the IMD reports, 24 and 25 October are the most crucial days. The cyclone Dana is to be entering and crossing the Odisha coast during 24 night and 25 morning. All the coastal districts are on high alert.
