Bhubaneswar: Three big state Universities, Utkal University, Rama Devi Women’s Universities, and Gangadhar Meher University in Odisha are in the verge of appointing new Vice-chancellors in the coming times.
as per the order of the Honorable Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das, the Department of Higher Education is going to start the process of appointing new VCs to these three Universities very soon, as the term of the present head of the Universities ends in this month.
the Governer has directed that the process of appointment of VCs has to be done in time so that the academic activities do not get affected by this in the three major state Universities. There has been previous examples that the academic performances get substantially impacted because of the delayed appointment of VCs. Therefore, it is going to be fast appointment process of VCs this time. the last VCs were appointed in the year 2020 by the the governor of Odisha Dr Ganeshi Lal in six state Universities.
