Bhubaneswar: Cuttack Bali Jatra has got the approval from the Odisha High Court to be conducted in the upper ground as well but there would be a certain guidelines to be followed. So the grand fair is going to be conducted in both upper and lower ground in the current year.
This notification also carries a few specific rules along with it as there should be proper management to control the revelers through out the fair duration. The vendors will be strictly directed not to set up shops at the road sides and footpaths to navigate the crowds smoothly.
Cuttack Bali Jatra is going to be held from 15-22 November in the Mahanadi River bank. The police and the administration has been given responsibility to control the traffic, congestion and noise pollution.
Cuttack Collector Dattatray Bhausaheb has assured the High Court about the necessary actions are being taken with regard to the easy and smooth management of the mega fair. There will be a green corridor for the medical emergency and the passage of ambulance through the heavy crowd during the event. The local, petty shops set up should be prohibited on the road sides or footpaths from Mata Matha Chowk to Biju Patnaik Chowk, Cantonment Road to Chandi Chowk.
