Bhubaneswar: After the result of the 2024 general elections, the politics of congress party and Rahul Gandhi has prominently been surrounded with caste card, caste politics starting from the Miss India contest to the footpath. BJP retaliates by demanding the caste identity of Rahul Gandhi himself. Rahul Gandhi is hellbent on pushing his political agenda towards the caste census card of the people or voters of the country.
The ruling party state, it has been the history of congress government during their tenure they have always opposed caste reservation as three of the Prime ministers of the Congress party have evidently spoken against reservation in the past. In the year 1961, Jawaharlal Nehru had written in a letter that if reservations are granted on the basis of caste there will be second class people. Then in the Mandal Committee report Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi had opposed the report on reservation. Indira Gandhi campaigned in 1970s, ” Na jaat par na paat par Mohar lagegi haath par”. She was openly saying the she was strongly against casteism. Rajiv Gandhi had clearly stated in an interview that caste reservations are only for idiots.
When talk about caste systems, there are caste system in Muslim community, it is not a homogeneous community. But it is never get talk about, only Hindu caste system is highlighted and politicized. It has been documented that there are casteism, untouchability, many deviations, different sects and divisions with hierarchy in the Muslim community. Through appeasement politics the muslims have got caste reservations through the policy implementation but there are politicization of distribution of beneficiaries in the community.
The caste and class hierarchy is so prominent that the converted muslims are treated impure and untouchable. The Pasmanda muslims are treated lower class and like untouchables. The reservations and government benefits are majorly cornered and grabbed by the upper grade ( Ashraf) Muslims, about 15% of the whole community, and rest of them who are needy, poor and vulnerable are left back only to be used as propaganda driven for vote bank. For example, the education and schooling of the muslim children are done in Madrashas, whereas only 4% muslim children go to madrasas for education and those are from the Pasmandas, the poor and backward sections.
The agenda of Congress party and Rahul Gandhi is to divide the Hindus into castes and unite Muslims through vote jihad. With this agenda the real needy and backward muslims are getting crushed behind only being brainwashed either getting scared of Hindutva and being pushed to Jihad. So the real enemy of the muslim community is their own Asrafs, Saiyats not Hindus or Bharat.
