Bhubaneswar, August 20: Odisha will host the prestigious 48th All India Public Relations Conference (AIPRC-2026) for the first time in the nearly five-decade history of the national event.
Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Thursday unveiled the official poster and brochure of the conference at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.
Organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) and hosted by the PRSI Bhubaneswar Chapter, the three-day conference will be held from December 25 to 27, 2026, in Bhubaneswar.
The conference will be held under the theme “NAVAGUNJARA – Public Relations in the Age of AI”, inspired by Odisha’s iconic Navagunjara motif. The theme seeks to explore the convergence of Artificial Intelligence, human intelligence, creativity, ethics, cultural understanding and empathy in modern communication.
Releasing the poster and brochure, Governor Kambhampati described Odisha’s hosting of the conference as a matter of immense pride and extended his best wishes to PRSI and its Bhubaneswar chapter for the event.
The conference is expected to bring together public relations and corporate communication professionals, media practitioners, government representatives, business leaders, academicians and policymakers from across India.
PRSI National President Dr. Ajit Pathak said AIPRC-2026 would examine the opportunities offered by AI while reaffirming the ethical, cultural and human values that remain central to effective public relations.
The event will also showcase Odisha’s rich art, culture, traditions and hospitality, creating a platform for professional knowledge-sharing, technological innovation and cultural exchange.
The poster and brochure unveiling was attended by senior PRSI office-bearers, including Secretary General Dr. PLK Murthy, Conference Convenor Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sahoo, Co-Convenor Krushna Chandra Mohapatra and Chapter Treasurer Ansuman Pattnayak.
