Odisha Governor Braj Mohan Ram Says BJP Recognised His Long Years of Party Work

Bhubaneswar: Newly appointed Odisha Governor Braj Mohan Ram has said that his appointment to the constitutional post reflects the Bharatiya Janata Party’s recognition of his long-standing commitment and hard work within the organisation.

Speaking about his political journey, Ram said he continued working for the party despite being denied an election ticket on three occasions. He noted that he remained loyal to the organisation and actively campaigned to ensure the victory of BJP candidates.

“The party has recognised an ordinary worker like me. It has acknowledged our hard work and the consistent efforts we have made within the organisation,” Ram said.

He observed that some political workers switch parties after being denied tickets, but maintained that he chose to remain with the BJP and continue his organisational work.

“Even after being denied a ticket, we continued to work honestly and actively for the party,” he said, adding that the candidates he supported went on to win elections repeatedly.

Ram said he had hoped that his sustained efforts would eventually be recognised by the party. He attributed his appointment to the blessings of Mata Rani and the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

“By the grace of Mata Rani and with the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, I have now been given this appropriate constitutional position,” he said.

His remarks highlight his emphasis on organisational loyalty and grassroots political work, which he believes played a role in his elevation to the gubernatorial post.
