Bhubaneswar : Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik, today over a video conferencing discussed the issue of stranded Odias in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh with respective Chief Ministers of the states Shri B. S Yediyurappa and Shri Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy. Union Petroleum Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan also joined the discussion over video conferencing. Chief Minister Shri Patnaik expressed his gratitude to both the Chief Ministers for taking good care of the Odias stranded in their states during the lockdown period and requested them to further help those Odias who want to return back home to Odisha. During the discussion, both Shri B. S Yediyurappa and Shri Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy said that they have resumed operations in various sectors and those who want to stay back and resume work in their states are welcome do so. They further assured to extend all possible support to those who want to return back to Odisha.
Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan also requested the Chief Ministers of both the states to help the Odias to register on State Government’s online portal in case they are interested to return back to Odisha. Discussion relating to preparation of protocol regarding screening, registration, travel arrangements of those interested to return back was held during the meeting.
Shri R. Balakrishnan, Chief Advisor, Chief Minister’s Office and Shri Asit Kumar Tripathy, Chief Secretary and other senior dignitaries were also present during the meeting.
