Cuttack: GRIDCO has showcased a praiseworthy effort in the current year’s Bali Yatra in Cuttack. The renewable energy nodal agency of Odisha will be promoting the adoption of renewable energy by setting up an innovative pavilion. Odisha will achieve it’s goal of sustainable energy development by demonstrating advanced models, interactive exhibits, and informative sessions, spreading awareness about it.
The pavilion features a Green Hydrogen Plant model that explains regarding the process and impact of clean hydrogen energy revolutionising industries and transportation. There was bhi another innovative model that shows hydrogen-powered vehicles, elucidating all the vehicles, buses and cars emitting only water vapor instead of lethal pollutant gas.
Another model based on the PM Suryaghar Scheme explains on how electricity bills can be decreased or even eliminated by adopting solar energy and Net-metering arrangement. Another point of attraction is the Wind Energy Model, which explains the process of generating electricity 24/7 sustainably.
There is a mobile application developed by GRIDCO, that would let the users the benefit of calculating their solar power plant capacity based on their area and electricity contract demand. The app has the features as to estimate it’s cost, details on government subsidies, and information on Carbon emission reduction, making the adoption of renewable energy more feasible.
GRIDCO has organized quiz shows at the pavilion to attract the youth, students. The competition has many exciting prizes participation for winners at the same time it creates awareness, enhances understanding and interest in renewable energy among young people.
In stead of all the above, the pavilion hosts technical sessions as well in which many investors, experts, and GRIDCO officials have attended and have brain storming sessions on the progress of renewable energy potential and policies in Odisha. The main aim of these sessions is to garner investments and educate stakeholders about the policies and incentives initiated by the state for renewable energy projects.
This innovative initiative by GRIDCO at Cuttack Baliyatra is to be a great way to open path for a cleaner, greener, and sustainable future for Odisha.
