Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, has approved 11 major proposals spanning five key departments during a meeting held at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.
Among the decisions is the approval of the ambitious Atal Bus Stand scheme, with an outlay of ₹3,400 crore, aimed at modernising bus terminals and enhancing public transport infrastructure across the state.
The Cabinet also cleared a ₹1,647 crore power sector initiative focused on strengthening electricity infrastructure, improving supply reliability, and supporting growing industrial and urban demand.
In addition, a significant push has been given to the irrigation sector, with proposals aimed at expanding irrigation coverage, boosting agricultural productivity, and ensuring better water resource management.
Officials stated that the approvals are part of the government’s broader strategy to accelerate infrastructure development, improve public service delivery, and support economic growth across Odisha.
The decisions reflect a multi-sectoral approach, targeting transport, energy, and agriculture as key drivers of the state’s development agenda.
