Bhubaneswar: Fuel supply has resumed at petrol pumps across Odisha and the current situation is expected to return to normal by Monday evening, according to the Utkal Petroleum Dealers Association.
Officials of the association stated that fuel distribution operations have restarted across the state and supply will continue uninterrupted on Sunday as well.
The development comes amid recent concerns over petrol and diesel availability in several areas, which had led to long queues at fuel stations and panic buying by consumers.
Petroleum dealers said that if fuel transportation and supply chains continue to function smoothly over the next 24 hours, normal availability is expected to be restored completely by Monday evening.
Authorities have appealed to the public not to engage in panic purchasing, assuring that adequate steps are being taken to stabilise fuel distribution across the state.
