Bhubaneswar : Institute of Emergency Medicine, AMRI Bhubaneswar has successfully conducted a first of its kind workshop on “BASIC EMERGENCY MEDICINE SKILLS” recently at AMRI Hospitals Bhubaneswar. The workshop was attended by more than 50 Doctors across the State of Odisha, where a comprehensive hands on training was given to the delegates / participants in developing different skills while managing victims of medical emergencies.
The workshop was graced by the presence of Dr. Venugopalan PP, Director of Emergency Medicine , DM Aster Medcity, Kerela who appraised the gathering with the development of Emergency Medicine as an upcoming specialty in India and the scope of budding emergency physicians. On this occasion, Mr. CLN Reddy, Unit-Head and VP, AMRI Hospitals Bhubaneswar felicitated the faculties of the workshop and showed immense pleasure in the fact that AMRI Hospitals is being recognized nationally as a pioneer in emergency medical education and promised his continuous support for such kind of skill development programs in the future.
The workshop was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sajid Nomani, HOD and Academic Director, Institute of Emergency Medicine, who expressed his happiness on success of the workshop and said that these workshops have been carefully designed for medical practitioners to enable them to handle various emergencies more efficiently with more emphasis given on hands on training rather than lectures and such emerging workshops will be a regular affair in the future.
