Amit Shah to Unveil BJP’s Bengal Manifesto Today

Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to launch the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s manifesto for West Bengal today, outlining a series of welfare and development promises ahead of upcoming elections.

According to party sources, the manifesto is expected to propose a monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000 for beneficiaries of the state’s Lakshmi Bhandar scheme. In addition, unemployed youth may be offered ₹3,000 per month as part of efforts to address joblessness.

The BJP is also likely to focus on industrial revival, with plans to develop Singur into a major manufacturing and industrial hub, a region that has remained politically and economically significant since past land acquisition controversies.

Infrastructure development is another key highlight, with proposals aimed at improving connectivity between North and South Bengal to facilitate trade, tourism, and regional integration.

The manifesto launch is expected to set the tone for the party’s campaign in the state, with a mix of welfare assurances and economic development initiatives.
