TOKYO: Indian badminton champion PV Sindhu moved ahead to the pre-quarterfinals of the Tokyo Olympics’ 2020 Women’s’ Badminton 4 ‘at the Tokyo Olympics on Wednesday.
PV Sindhu, ranked 6th in the game, defeated Chueng Nan Yi of Hong Kong in the bottom of the group in the ‘Final Group J Match 4’. Sindhu needed a little more than 30 minutes to defeat Chueng 21-4, 21-14 at Tokyo’s Musashino Forest 4 Sports Plaza.
PV Sindhu is the only hope for India in the badminton competition of the Tokyo Olympics.
