Bhubaneswar: To seek a ease from the ongoing Lockdown, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had discussed with the Chief Ministers and asked for the detail plan by Monday. As per the sources, there was no final decision on the the lockdown extension or relaxation. The second phase of the Lockdown ends on 3rd May.
During the meeting with Shri Modi, Chief Ministers expressed their concern of economy slow down. There were nine chief Ministers who are going to share the action plan with PM by Monday. Around 4 States were keen to extend the lockdown for 1 more month and Odisha is among them. Apart from the economy slowdown, States are losing revenue from many sectors because of the lockdown, some States also discussed about the liquor shop open permissions.
