Kolkata, 24 November, 2024: 93.5 Red FM, India’s leading private radio and entertainment network once again associated itself with the Eastern Command of the Indian Army to present Guts & Glory at the Fort William Stadium on 30th November 2024. The annual concert aims to celebrate the valor and sacrifice of those who defined India’s historic victory in the 1971 war.
In the prelude to the main event, the celebrations will kick off with The Glory Bike Ride, bringing together 35 army personnel and 35 civilians for a symbolic breakfast ride through Fort William. The Glory Bike Ride will be led by the Army Commander himself. The highlight of ‘Guts & Glory—Salute 71’ are weekly docu-dramas, showcasing riveting stories of 1971 war heroes through immersive audio and video features. There will also be interactive heritage walks led by the Indian Army that will guide civilians through Fort William’s storied past, complete with quizzes and engaging narratives about the 1971 war.
The grand finale will feature ceremonial tributes, a performance by Mangka Mayanglambam, a world renowned Manupuri singer who is promoting Manipuri music across the world, performances by the Army Band, renditions by Sourendro-Soumyojit, and poet Sudeep Bhola and an electrifying show by singer Divya Kumar. Attendees will also experience traditional dance performances, alongside curated delicacies.
