Bhubaneswar: A shocking and cold hearted incident has surfaced when the news of a father of a state level tennis player/champion, a 25 year old, young girl named Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her father with three bulletes from his licensed revolver. It was at point blank range. He was inside their house. Her mother was on the upstairs.
As per the police, the father felt taunted by his friends and relatives that he was not earning anything for the family and the house was running on the earnings of his daughter. He was living off his daughter’s earnings. How can be this a plausible explanation to ones own daughter. What sort of deraised and sick mentality an individual has to be doing this. The explanation does not even come little bit close to any logic for killing his own daughter.
To come to a deeper level, whether this is the real story of there is any convenient cooking up of stories. The father has been taken into 2 days of police custody. It is utterly unimaginable that there are parents who can go to the length of killing their own child. The time similar case had shook the whole nation was the Arushi murder case where both the parents were jailed later. Nobody wants to see or hear such incidents. This is sick, brutal and inhuman.
As per the statement made by Radhika’s mother, Radhika was cooking for her mother in the kitchen located on the first floor and she was on the second floor. Her mother was apparently unwell and was unable to cook for herself and the family. The father came from behind and fired four bullets on Radhika, two from the back, one at the neck and another is an exited wound on Radhika’s body.
The police report states, Radhika was running a tennis academy in Gurugram. Her father was against this but Radhika was not ready to listen. Her father was constantly telling her to close the academy and she was not reciprocating to him. Although there are many different versions of statements from the people present at the crime site.
Another version of the story comes across where there is a music video circulating on social and digital mediums featuring Radika in it. Apparently her family and father was not happy her being feathered in this video as it has a lot of intimate scenes.
