Bhubaneswar:The COVID Cases are increasing in the State of Odisha. Anid of this crisis, the State Goverment declared the Panchayat Election dates. The State Election Commissioner (SEC) Aditya Prasad Padhi announced the schedule today.
The panchayat elections in Odisha will be held over five phases from February 16 to 24. People will cast their votes on February 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 from 7 am to 1 pm. The results will be declared on February 26, 27 and 28.
The model code of conduct will remain in fornce from 11.01.22 to 28.02.22. Candidates need to do the door-to-door and virtual campaigning. There will be no assembly, gatherings or rallies. Everything will be held with strict adherence to COVID protocols.
