Bhubaneswar: Veteran actor and BJP MP Hema Malini has addressed speculation surrounding the Deol family following the passing of legendary actor Dharmendra, firmly dismissing rumours of discord and emphasising that her relationship with his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, remains strong and cordial.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Hema Malini said that gossip and conjecture have never affected their family dynamics. “Our relationship has always been nice and cordial. We are close, and such talk does not bother us,” she said, putting to rest claims of strain within the family.
She also revealed that Sunny Deol is planning to set up a museum in memory of Dharmendra, a project that holds deep emotional value for the family. Hema Malini said Sunny keeps her informed about the progress and plans related to the museum, underscoring the continued sense of togetherness among them.
Speaking about Dharmendra’s final film Ikkis, Hema Malini shared that she has not yet been able to watch it. She described the experience as emotionally overwhelming at present, adding that she may view the film at a later time when it feels easier to do so.
