Indian prime minister and Chinese President had last met for a discussion in Mahabalipuram, Tamilnadu in 2019 prior to the millitary standoff at Galwan in 2020 where there were many casualties.
Ministry of external affairs has notified that the issue of India and china border issue has been looked into with a broader view and with long term strategy in the bilateral meeting by both the countries.
The foremost point to be agreed by both PM Modi and President Xi Jinping, ‘ there should be a stable tie between the two largest nations in the world to sustain peace and prosperity on both regional and global level.
To take this strong step it requires maturity and wisdom. Both the nation’s have shown their wisdom by addressing a mutual sensitivity, respect and concern over aspiring to retain the relationship on a mutually beneficial, peacefully and stable way. This can only be materialized by restoring peace and tranquility in the border.
The next step of this meeting would be working out by the foreign ministry level through the mutual dialogues, discussions to stabilize relations between the two nations.
The bilateral meeting of PM Modi and President Xi Jinping was a successful exchange of ideas on BRICS to enhance cooperation within this platform. India has assured China on extending full support for China’s presidency on Shanghai Cooperation ( SCO) in the coming year.
