IP YATRA – Under MSME Innovative Scheme 11–12 December 2025:Hotel Pramod Resort, Bidanasi, Chahata, Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: MSME Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Cuttack, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, under its flagship MSME Innovative Scheme, has organized a two-day knowledge-driven program titled IP Yatra, in association with CSIR–IMMT, Bhubaneswar. The initiative aims to create widespread awareness and capacity building on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among MSMEs, entrepreneurs, startups, innovators, and industry stakeholders in Odisha.

The program focuses on strengthening the innovation ecosystem by educating participants on significance of patents, trademarks, copyrights, GI, technology transfer, infringement, and the enforcement mechanisms. It also showcased success stories and provided an interactive platform for networking with IP experts and government Institutions.

INAUGURAL SESSION (11 December 2025)

The event commenced with registration at 10:30 AM, followed by an inaugural session featuring address by key dignitaries:

  • Welcome Address – Smt. Nitisha Mann, Deputy Director, MSME-DFO, Cuttack
  • Special Addresses by:
  • Dr. L D Besra, Senior Scientist, CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar
  • Dr. S K Kar, CGU, CV Raman College
  • Shri P. K. Gupta, Joint Director & HoO, MSME-DFO, Cuttack
  • Keynote Address by Shri Vinamra Mishra, Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India. He highlighted the Vision, Mission and Objective of Ministry of MSME in furthering the IPR potential and interests of MSMEs.
  • Vote of Thanks – Dr. T. Pavan Kumar, Principal Scientist, CSIR-IMMT

The session was followed by a MoU exchange and stall visit by the chief guest and dignitaries, providing an overview of Innovation and IP-related initiatives in Odisha.

TECHNICAL SESSION– DAY 1 (11 December 2025)

The first day included expert-led thematic sessions on:

  • IPRs – Importance & Impact – by Dr. T. Pavan Kumar, Principal Scientist, CSIR-IMMT
  • AI Patent Search and Drafting – by Shri Aurobinda Panda, Founder, Lex Protector LLC
  • Trademark, Copyrights, Design & Their Importance for MSMEs- by Dr. S. K. Kar, Advisor, CGU Bhubaneswar
  • Technology Transfer for MSMEs- by Dr.Hareram Sahoo, Assistant Manager & Project Officer, NRDC

The day concluded with sharing of entrepreneurial success stories by Shri Sambit Sahoo, Founder, Shubhalaxmi Future Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The concluding session was a Q&A session for the participants. Around 165 participants participated in Day-1 of IP Yatra Program.
