Murshidabad Burns in Protest against Waqf Law

Bhubaneswar: Murshidabad burns of extreme violence. Temples have been vandalized and idols are destroyed, along with that two lives have lost in the violence. The streets are burnt down and vandalized. There are terrible sights of groups of masked people creating violence and spreading brutality in the city in the name of Waqf protest. Shops are vandalized, stone pelting and attacks on government officers. Massive rioting is occurred in Murshidabad. This is mass, mob fury which has been unleashed where people are being killed.

The West Bengal government seem to be taking no requisite action against it except for doing political cards by saying Bengal has 33% muslim population so this situation is aught to happen in the protest of Waqf bill. She is doing vote bank politics to protect the muslim votes in the upcoming assembly election in West Bengal in 2026. Ms Banerjee also has said that the Waqf law will not be implemented in the state. As it is central government law and passed by the President of the country, whether Mamata Banerjee is trying to be a secessionist by doing so.

There have been rallies conducted in Bengal where muslim leaders have said if they get fifty groups of 2000 muslim people each they can get the Bengal to stand still. It is a clear blackmailing by the muslim leaders as they warn if they want t can happen practically at any given point of time. Yet the government of the state has taken absolutely no action against it because the chief minister of the state probably does not want to go against anyone who has a control over the muslim vote. The muslim politics for Mamata Banrjee is so important that she claimed there has nothing major has happened in the state in the Waqf protest and everything is under control.

The situation in Bengal has gone completely out of control. The state government seem to be lacking the ability to govern the state. In the internal power struggle and desperate search for the muslim votes to win election the people of Bengal left in the situation where they have to fend for themselves . There is sense of fear among the people regarding the unrest in the state.
