The first ever biopic film of the Odia film industry, Ollywood, ‘Pade Akasa’ was released in cinemas on 11 April. The film is on the life of Dr Sruti Mohapatra and acted by the versatile actress Archita Sahu who is considered one of the biggest and talented actresses of the Odia film industry. The film is directed by Susant Mani and produced by Litisha Mangat Panda.
The movie was released under the banner of Tarang Cine Production. It is a new and a very drastic step in the Ollywood film industry to take up such a different concept, scripting and executing it is really commendable. This is the kind of story telling the Odia film industry desperately needs at present. A new and authentic way of storytelling, The real life stories, stories of Odia heroes, should be showcased more and more instead of just copying South cinemas or bollywood.

Her ever inspiring journey of a civil service aspirant to a promising advocate working for the betterment of the differently abled. The movies proceeds with the story of her life after a dealy accident happened in the year 1987 that left her paralyzed from the nech down. The social discrimination, stigma and psycho – social trauma stigma that she had to go through there after in her life made her even stronger and braver to ather than devastating her completely. She is a true inspiration today as she petsuwd her M.Phil and PhD degrees thereafter and later trained more than hundred civil service aspirants to achieve their goals.
The film is gathering accolades from both critics and the audience. It is an important milestone for the Odia film industry to be a torch bearer for revival as the film carries social relevance as well as educating, inspiring message. Actress Archita Sahu has been gaining atulations for her fabulous acting and natural performance.
