Odisha Government to Develop World Class Tourist Spots in Sambalpur

Bhubaneswar: The Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra group of companies has announced plans to develop some particular rock formations into a world class tourist destination. By responding to a post on the social media platform X the business tycoon expressed that there cannot be any comparison of the rock formations and its beauty with any world heritage sites. The post  on X that compared these heritage sites in Odisha to the Grand Canyon which is one of Arizona ‘s most famous natural landmarks. Whereas the head of the Mahindra objected to the post by saying the rock formations need no landmarks or comparisons considering its heart warming beauty. The business tycoon wrote, referring to the photographs of Kanhakund, Sambalpur , Odisha posted on X by a social media influencer earlier, ‘ there is no need to compare this spot to the Grand Canyon. This is unique in its own way. Not sure if these photographs are photoshopped but even if they are to a certain extent these formations are exceptionally beautiful.’ 

Mr Mahindra has mentioned in his post about him connecting with the Odisha government by requesting to make this place a world class heritage site for attracting tourists all across. 

After the post by Anand Mahindra, the platform started to flood with views and comments on the beautiful place and the posts. Many users started to comment on the unexplored wonders of our country, how many beautiful places exist in India that are untouched and now getting attention through the new age media, influencers, and young travel bloggers. 

The discussion erupted on India is home to many naturally breathtaking landscapes which deserve recognition from world wide. The landscape in discussion is located 200 kilometres from Sambalpur, Odisha. It is popularly known as the ‘ Grand Canyon of Odisha’. The place is mostly unexplored and a hidden gem. The site features pristine blue waters meandering through ancient granite rock formations, creating a spectacular and serene landscape.
