Bhubaneswar: Amid growing concern over the alleged disappearance of merchant navy cadet Sarthak Mohapatra while on duty, Odisha Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj has assured full support from both the state and central governments to the family.
Speaking on the matter, the minister said he had personally spoken to Sarthak’s mother three days ago and that the authorities remain in continuous contact with the family.
“I had a conversation with his mother three days ago. We are continuously in contact with her. The governments of India and Odisha are working on this issue. The government will provide them maximum cooperation and help,” Suraj stated.
The case has drawn attention in Odisha, with the family seeking urgent assistance and clarity regarding the cadet’s whereabouts. Officials have indicated that coordination is underway with relevant national and international agencies to trace the missing cadet and support the investigation.
The state government has reiterated its commitment to extend all possible assistance to the family during the ongoing efforts.
