Bhubaneswar: In a unique outreach initiative, Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation has launched redesigned premium milk packets to promote awareness about the upcoming census exercise.
The new packaging features the official Census logo along with a public awareness message, and was inaugurated by the Director of Census Operations as part of efforts to encourage citizen participation.
Awareness Through Daily Essentials
By leveraging its wide consumer base, OMFED aims to take the census message directly to households across Odisha through a product used daily by thousands of families.
Wider Outreach Campaign
In addition to the redesigned packets, OMFED has announced plans to install awareness posters at around 4,000 outlets statewide. These efforts are intended to ensure broader visibility and public engagement ahead of the census.
Supporting National Exercise
The initiative aligns with the government’s broader campaign to boost participation in the upcoming Census, highlighting its importance in policy planning, resource allocation and governance.
