Padmini Care Hospital Observes World Kidney Day 2026; Announces Affordable Kidney Transplant Facility for People

Cuttack/Tangi, March 12, 2026: To mark World Kidney Day 2026, Padmini Care Hospital organized a mega awareness Walkathon and health seminar today, centered on the global theme: “Kidney Health for All: Caring for People, Protecting the Planet.”

The event commenced at 9:00 AM from the Padmini Care Main Gate, where a large group of healthcare professionals, students from DRIEMS University, and local citizens marched to promote renal health.

In a message conveyed to the public and the medical fraternity, Er. Durga Prasad Rath , Chairman, PADMINI CARE Hospital & DRIEMS Institute of Health Sciences & Hospital emphasized that the core mission of DRIEMS and Padmini Care has always been to bring high-end medical technology within the reach of the common man. Our Hospital is going to launch the affordable Kidney Transplant facility very soon.

He emphasized the dual responsibility of individual health and environmental protection, aligning with this year’s “Protecting the Planet” sub-theme.

Dr. P.K. Mishra, Director of Clinical Services, welcomed the gathering and elaborated on the hospital’s commitment to the “Health for All” mandate. Dr. Sujit Nanda, Consultant Nephrologist, further discussed the clinical aspects of the World Kidney Day theme, stressing early detection and lifestyle modifications.

The event took an emotional and inspiring turn with a testimonial from Mr. Laxminarayan Pati, a kidney disease survivor, who shared his journey of recovery. His story served as a testament to the quality of care and support provided at Padmini Care Hospital.

The program concluded with the distribution of Appreciation Certificates to participants and a formal Vote of Thanks by Ms. Smruti Rekha Barik, HOD of Operations.
