Bhubaneswar: There are tensions going on between India and Pakistan as Operation Sindoor continues, anybody would imagine and expect some basic humanitarian sense when comes to the civilians. But That was not the case when a hailstorm hit an Indigo aircraft passenger plane in a shot brief entry into the Lahore air space. This is the proof how Pakistan regime thinks and acts. It is not to forget that, Pakistan had used a civilian aircraft planes as a shields to the Indian retaliatory actions during the Operation Sindoor.
A Srinagar bound Indigo aircraft, boarded with passengers, has got the nose tip damaged and the pilots made a hasty landing in the airport due to a life threatening hailstorm and bad weather conditions. The passengers on board included the Members of Parliament from Trinamool Congress described the experience as near death experience. Despite the worst weather conditions and the noncooperation of the neighboring country, kudos to the expertise of our pilots who were able to land the plane safely in the Srinagar airport without ant injury to any of the passengers on board.
The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has confirmed that the Lahore ATC refused permission to a storm hit Indigo airplane for a brief entry to the Lahore airport to avoid the bad weather. It could be seen as an act of insensitivity and how Pakistan had used the civilian aircraft for more than once as human shields and the Indian air force has not taken any actions during those times.
It is a normal procedure the pilot has followed that anytime in a predetermined route, either a civilian or a military cargo aircraft faces an emergency related to anything, it is expected to deviate from its predetermined route snd the pilot asks for any permission for deviation of the route he/she is to be given the required assistance at that point of time.
In this time of hostility between the two countries, India and Pakistan, when the aviation routes are closed for Indian aircraft or traffic, the later was using their predetermined routes within the country to take shield behind the civilian aircrafts from the attacks of India in the Operation Sindoor by putting the lives of so many civilians at risk. But this what is expected from Pakistan whose main game s to kill the civilians in India, create disturbances, divide the country in the name of religion, create fear and so on. It is nothing but an extension of their mindset.
There are rules to the international aviation where an aircraft/ a fight is in distress has been denied entry into Lahore airport . This is violation of the major rules. India should take it to the international authorities.
