Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed gratitude to his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, for extending Diwali greetings and reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Israel.
Taking to social media, PM Modi thanked Netanyahu for his warm wishes and conveyed his best regards on the occasion of the Israeli leader’s birthday. “Thank you, my friend @netanyahu, for your Diwali greetings. I wish you a very happy birthday and pray for your good health and continued success. May the India–Israel strategic partnership continue to flourish in the years ahead,” PM Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The exchange of greetings comes at a time when both nations continue to expand cooperation in areas such as defence, technology, innovation, and agriculture. The two leaders have often highlighted the deepening friendship between New Delhi and Tel Aviv, built on shared democratic values and mutual trust.
India and Israel established full diplomatic ties in 1992, and under PM Modi’s leadership, the relationship has grown into a robust strategic partnership, marked by regular high-level exchanges and collaboration across multiple sectors.
