Shri Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday tweeted sections of his first address after taking over as President.
He said he is “Honoured to be sworn in as the 14th President of India; would be carrying out my responsibilities with all humility”.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an early Twitter adopter and one with a mind boggling 32 million followers, congratulated President Kovind in person and of course, on Twitter.
The PM also called President Kovind’s first speech upon assuming office “inspiring”. The new President tweeted some sections of that speech from his new Twitter handle.
