Tata Electronics Sends Employees to Taiwan For Semiconductor Training

Bhubaneswar: Tata Electronics has been sending many number of its employees to Taiwan for getting trained for semi conductor assembly and test as the company aims to fab it expertise in their outsourced semi conductor assembly and test. Hundreds of employees are sent to the technology partner Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) which provided a very high skilled training needed for this venture.

As the time of company’s time of preparing for its fab is getting closer the employees are sent for heavy skillful training to Taiwan from Tata Electronics. There is huge gap in terms of talent. Tata has executed a very meticulous and methodic plan for sending the employees for training. Because it would be difficult to give training so to many people at a time, so about 50-75 people are sent at go.

Tata Electronics is setting up a fan in Dholera with a budget of Rs 91,000 crore ($11 billion). This is going to be offering around 20,000 direct and indirect skilled jobs. India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-greenfield Fab in Gujarat in partnership with PSMC which will extend all the support in designing and construction. It will also give a broad portfolio of technologies and engineering support to transfer licensed technologies to the Fab in Gujarat.

This fab is going to have the capacity of producing around 5,000 wafers every month and along with that a next generation factory automation capabilities deploying data analytics and machine learning for achieving the best factory efficiency. According to Tata, this Fab will be manufacturing chips for applications like power management IC, display drivers, micro-controllers and high performance computing logic suitably fulfilling the growing demand of AI, automotive, computing, data storage and wireless communication in the market. Tata Electronics is hiring people in different batches. Different batches are assigned for different departments like equipments, yield engineering, process technology,
process technology etc. These new recruitments are freshers, college students who are sent to Taiwan for training.

The different batches of people hired for training are getting trained in various operations like equipment, yield engineering, process technology, and quality engineering. For these tasks Tata Electronics has hired college students and experienced people who were already there in the industry for longer times.
