Tesla Opens in Mumbai, India on 15 July

Bhubaneswar: The E- Jaan company Tesla of Elon Musk is going to inaugurate it’s first store in Mumbai , India on 15, July. This store is going to be an experiment one for the people. Which indicates, there would not be only vehicles sold in this store but the people can come across the features and technological excellence of Tesla, as per the reports.

This company had earlier signed an agreement for a 4000 sq ft retail store at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. It is located adjacent to the Apple Flagship store. In the first phase Telsa will launch its model Y XUV, which has been produced in the Shanghai factory. It would cost around 47 lakhs in India. As per a Bloomberg report, five Y model cars have already reached in the Mumbai Tesla showroom from the Shanghai factory of China. The price of these cars from Tesla are 27.7 lakhs and on 21 lakh import duty would be charged on this. So the final cost of the cars will be 48 lakhs.

This tax in India would be charged according to the 70 percent tax policy, which is implemented on the vehicles imported less than a price of 40,000 dollars. It includes the excessive taxes. Lately, despite the change of policy of India, Tesla is going ahead with the launching of cars as per it’s prior plans. The Tesla, India chief, Prashanth Menon has signed from his position after serving for nine years in the company. According to Bloomberg, the China team of Tesla is operating the business transactions in India.

The Y model electric car of Tesla is one of the most selling car models in the world. The Indian customers may like this. The company has purchased it’s spare parts, merchandise, car accessories and super charger components from the countries like China, America and Netherlands. The major reason behind Telsa ‘s arrival in India is that our country is the third largest automobile market in the globe. As the company is facing a slow down of sell in Europe and China, India might become an opportunity
for it.
