The Much Needed Political Unity Comes to an End

Bhubaneswar: The India-Pakistan war seems to have moved political war at domestic sphere. There is all kinds of unwanted and unwarranted noise that is broken out in the last few days. Rahul Gandhi’s attack on Jaishankar, the arrest of a University professor, the Supreme Court coming down hard on the BJP minister in Madhya Pradesh, the Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Rout making noises about the multi party delegations and Mamata Banerjee fighting against the center and winning on having her own representative in these delegations are the prominent political updates that are rounding the noise lately in the country amid this war situation.

The much needed and applauded unity that was seen during Operation Sindoor seem to be falling apart and is extremely unfortunate. All the focus is now on the foreign minister S. Jaishankar as Rahul Gandhi puts allegation against him that the foreign minister had leaked war plans to Pakistan ahead of the operation. Rahul Gandhi’s comments are being quoted on the Pakistani television channels. BJP is alleging Rahul Gandhi of speaking Pakistan’s language.

In this unseen political battle the Congress has used a phrase, “Sindoor Ka Saudagar”, accusing the Modi government of having done a deal with Donald Trump in exchange for a softer tariff charges. In the midst of this there is another noise that the BJP minister from Madhya Pradesh had made a communal remark on Cornel. Sofia Qureshi, one of the two women military officers who came as the public face for daily briefings on the Operation Sidoor. The arrest of a professor from the Ashoka University, Prof. Ali Mehmood Abad for a social media post. The Haryana Women’s Commission has acted against him.

All these chaos are being happening just before the all-party MPs delegations is meant to carry India’s message on Operation Sindoor to global capital across the world. Is this a political strategy by the opposition to divert the narratives the Indian government is planning to culminate world wide.

The country is fully united even though the politicians are doing what they are meant to do. As they thonk the fog of the war has descended and they have come to their true sides.
