Bhubaneswar: The Vande Bharat Express trains will be operated till Puri, as informed by the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw when he had visited to Puri on 28 August.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in his Independence Day speech that 75 Vande Bharat Express trains will be operated in different parts of the country by 2023.
The Railway Minister stated that the Vande Bharat Expresses are going to commute each and every nook and corners of the country in 75 weeks of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
The Railway Minister and the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reached in Bhubaneswar on 28 August and visited Puri for paying allegiance the Holy trinity.
Vaishnaw said, development of Puri Railway Station has been initiated after which Vande Bharat Express will also be brought to Puri. The Holy City is a popular tourist and religious destination in the world. So the city should be well commuted with easy and comfortable railway connections.
Vande Bharat Express is a train similar as Shatabdi Express. It will provide a premium aircraft-style comforts, such as LED lightings, wide luggage racks, European-style comfortable seats. On the exterior side, the new train looks like a bullet train along with a cattle guard in the front to prevent derailment due to cattle run.
There are two Vande Bharat Express trains are running presently between Varanasi and New Delhi and Katra and New Delhi.
