Bhubaneswar: Announcing various unlock measures Development Commissioner-cum-SRC P. K. Jena detailed regarding the stipulations and instructions for graded unlocking as Covid containment measures, across Odisha. He said that graded unlocking shall be effective throughout the State from 6AM of 1st September, 2021 (Wednesday) till 6AM of 1st October, 2021(Friday).
While night curfew shall be imposed in all the urban areas of the State from 10PM to 5AM every day, there shall be no weekend shutdown across the state. Vaccination shall continue in places as notified by the H&FW Dept from time to time and testing shall continue as per guidelines. All types of shops and malls may remain open across the state from 5AM to 10PM everyday.
Among other unlock measures, gathering of total 250 people will be allowed subject to approval from local authorities for functions like marriage, thread ceremony, funeral, last rites etc. Marriage processions shall be allowed with due prior written approval from competent authorities. However, all social, cultural, religious and political gatherings shall remain prohibited during this period, the order said.
