200 Indians Stranded in Jeddah Return on Special Flight to Ahmedabad

Bhubaneswar: Around 200 Indian nationals stranded in Jeddah were repatriated on a special flight that landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport late on Tuesday.

Many of the passengers had travelled to Jeddah during the holy month of Ramadan and were unable to return after flight operations were disrupted amid escalating tensions in West Asia following recent U.S.–Israel strikes on Iran.

The special arrangement enabled their safe return to India, where families gathered at the airport to receive them. The arrivals witnessed emotional reunions after days of uncertainty and anxiety over travel disruptions.

Authorities have indicated that additional measures may be taken if required to assist other Indian nationals affected by the ongoing regional tensions.
