Cockroach Janta Party Says Ready for Dialogue, Awaits Government Response

Bhubaneswar: The Chief Spokesperson of the Cockroach Janta Party, Saurav Das, on Sunday said the administration had initiated efforts to open a dialogue with the government, adding that the party remains willing to engage in discussions despite the delay.

Speaking to the media, Das said the administration had approached them for talks, but alleged that there was still no clarity from the government’s side. “The administration is trying to open talks with the government. They have come very late, but we have opened our hearts and said that we are willing to talk to them. There has been no clarity from their side as of now. The ball is in their court,” he said.

Providing an update on the ongoing hunger strike, Das stated that the protester remained stable and continued with the fast. He also conveyed a message of support to young demonstrators across the country.

“He is stable, and he is continuing his hunger strike. He has sent his very best wishes to the young protesters of this country who have finally awakened to this very difficult, very dead system that does not listen to them at all,” Das said.

He further announced that a peaceful march would be organised soon, asserting that protesters had been demonstrating peacefully for the past 30 days while presenting their demands through non-violent means.

“A peaceful march will happen very soon. Peaceful protesters have been gathered here for the past 30 days, and we have shown how to carry out a peaceful protest and put our points forward,” he added.
