Shree Jagannath Temple Secures IP Protection for More Names

Bhubaneswar: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has strengthened efforts to protect the shrine’s spiritual and cultural identity by securing intellectual property protection for three more names — ‘Shree Mandira’, ‘Ratna Bhandar’ and ‘Shree Nahar’.

The applications have been accepted for publication by the Trade Marks Registry, marking the third phase of the temple’s trademark protection initiative. The move is aimed at preventing unauthorized commercial use of names associated with the historic shrine.

SJTA Chief Administrator Arabinda Kumar Padhee said the initiative seeks to safeguard the temple’s unique spiritual and cultural heritage. With the latest additions, the SJTA has filed 29 trademark applications so far.
