Bhubaneswar: AIIMS Bhubaneswar Obstetrics and Gynaecology Additional Professor Dr. Sweta Singh has been conferred with prestigious Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) Movicol Corion Award. Dr. Singh has received this award in the senior category for “Best Research” in 2020 at the recently concluded All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AICOG) 2022 held at Indore. Dr. Singh’s research was on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, which complicates around 10% of all pregnancies.

AIIMS Bhubaneswar Director Prof. Mukesh Tripathi, Medical Superintendent Dr. S N Mohanty congratulating Dr. Singh for the award said that this will encourage others to do more research for the wellbeing of society. It may be noted here that this award is FOGSI’s highest award and carries a gold-plated plaque, certificate and a cash prize of Rs 75,000/-.
