Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Lucknow on January 24 to attend and address the ‘Uttar Pradesh Day’ celebrations as the chief guest. The event is expected to highlight the state’s cultural heritage, development initiatives, and governance reforms.
During the programme, the Home Minister will launch the ‘One District One Cuisine’ scheme, an initiative aimed at promoting traditional local foods from each district of Uttar Pradesh and boosting livelihoods linked to culinary heritage and tourism.
Shah will also inaugurate the Sardar Patel Industrial Zone Programme, which is designed to strengthen industrial infrastructure, encourage investment, and generate employment opportunities across the state.
As part of the समारोह, the Union Minister will present awards to top-performing districts under the Chief Minister YUVA (Youth, Unemployment, and Vocational Advancement) scheme, recognising districts that have shown notable progress in youth entrepreneurship and employment generation. He will also confer the Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman 2025–26, honouring individuals and institutions for outstanding contributions in various fields.
The Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations are expected to draw participation from senior state leaders, officials, entrepreneurs, and cultural groups, showcasing the state’s development journey and future roadmap.
