Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena Submits Resignation to Odisha Government

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena has submitted his resignation to the Odisha Government, citing personal reasons.

A 2013-batch IPS officer of the Odisha cadre, Meena’s resignation is yet to be accepted by the state government.

According to sources, Meena is likely to join a private company owned by a close relative in Rajasthan, although there has been no official confirmation regarding his future plans.

During his career, Meena has served as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Angul and Ganjam districts, DCP of Cuttack, and was appointed DCP of Bhubaneswar on February 28, 2025.

His resignation comes at a time when the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police has been facing criticism following the recent murder of Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable Soumya Ranjan Swain in the Balianta area. However, there is no official indication linking Meena’s resignation to the incident.
