Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education Odisha has announced the Plus II examination results for 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 85.85%, marking an improvement over the previous year.
Girls outperformed boys in all major streams, continuing the trend of stronger academic performance among female students across Odisha.
In the Science stream, girls recorded a pass percentage of 90.24%, compared to 87.41% among boys. In Commerce, girls achieved 90.43% while boys secured 86.67%.
The Arts stream also witnessed a significant gender gap, with girls recording 89.45% against 77.97% among boys. In the Vocational stream, girls achieved 83.43%, while boys recorded 71.49%.
Among all streams, Science registered the highest overall pass percentage at 88.82%, followed by Commerce at 88.07%. The Arts stream recorded 84.50%, while the Vocational stream reported a pass percentage of 77.62%.
Officials stated that the results reflect improved academic performance and higher success rates across streams this year.
The CHSE also announced that instant examinations and improvement examinations for eligible students will be conducted in July, providing candidates another opportunity to improve their scores or clear pending subjects.
