Bhubaneswar: The government has taken a major decision to remove GST from the dairy products like the packaged milk. During this time of crisis in the world economic scenario the government has tried to release the burden of the common people to some extent by providing them pure milk with a lower price. Milk is coming under the category of essential commodities, the people are going to be benefited by this tax cutting by the government.
Brands such as Mother Dairy has announced a reduction in price in its dairy products and other processed food items under its Safal brand. Similarly, Amul has also reduced the price of its dairy items as per the new GST price cut. The Amu has stated officially that they have cut the price ofmore than 700 food items, beverages, snacks and dairy items like ghee, butter, ice creams, bakery, frozen snacks etc. It has further notified that the new revised prices will be effective from 22 September
2025.
