Durga Puja this Year free of Plastic, alcohol, and DJ

Bhubaneswar: Durga Puja guidelines for Bhubaneswar capital city has come. As per the guidelines, the DJ music and, melodies are asked to close by 12 a.m. night. The crackers and bombs used in the Ravan Dahan should be less noise and air pollutants. During the immersion ceremony the use of DJ and loud music should be avoided.

There would be special patrolling during the festive season to eliminate any criminal activities. The guidelines shows a proper planning to carry out the whole festival period with ease.

The most important and the new rule that has been imposed in this guidelines that the capital city would be alcohol free during this time. Along with that there would be no DJ and no plastic in the Puja celebration this year.

The commissioner of Police , Bhubaneswar has addressed and requested each and every one in Bhubaneswar that to obey the rule of not consuming alcohol from the beginning of Puja to the immersion ceremony. Only traditional instruments are allowed to play during the immersion of the idols.

The idols should be made free of any chemicals and plastics. Eco-friendly idols are directed to be made and worshipped to keep the environment safety intact.

The tradition of collecting money in the name of Puja by the pandals are highly restricted. Nowhere and nobody should there be any complaint from any person to be asked to give money in the name of Puja. This has been strictly announced by the commissioner of police.
