Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at the office of Vigyan Bharati Charitable Trust in Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar, reportedly linked to the Hi-Tech Group of Institutions.
The raid was carried out by the Kolkata unit of the central agency following allegations of large-scale financial irregularities. Officials are investigating suspected money laundering, financial mismanagement, and possible illegal transactions.
Sources indicated that the probe is connected to alleged land fraud involving properties associated with Sahara India in Berhampur, located in Ganjam district.
The ED has not yet issued an official statement detailing the findings of the searches. Further action is expected based on scrutiny of documents and financial records seized during the operation.
