Bhubaneswar: In a major push to modernise its logistics network, India Post is set to launch a premium express service, ‘24 Speed Post’, offering guaranteed next-day delivery for urgent consignments.
The service will be officially launched on March 17, 2026, in New Delhi by Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, along with Minister of State Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani.
Faster and Reliable Delivery
The ‘24 Speed Post’ service aims to ensure delivery of parcels, documents and important consignments within 24 hours, significantly enhancing speed and reliability in the postal system.
In its initial phase, the service will be available across six major metro cities:

Introduction of ‘48 Speed Post’
Alongside the premium offering, India Post will also introduce ‘48 Speed Post’, which guarantees delivery within two days, providing customers with an additional fast and reliable option.

Officials said the initiative is part of India Post’s broader strategy to upgrade its logistics infrastructure and compete with private courier companies, especially in the rapidly growing e-commerce sector.
With improved delivery timelines and enhanced security features, the new services are expected to boost customer confidence and position India Post as a strong player in express logistics.
