India Suspends Indus Water Treaty: Beginning of Water War

Bhubaneswar: India strikes back at Pakistan after the Pehelgam terror attack by suspending the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan. India has taken a strategic and decisive move by putting a pause to the treaty that conveys the message that as long as Pakistan backs cross border terrorism and attacks the innocent Indians this water strike will be continued.

Pakistan media and the common citizens are petrified with this move by India as their country is already going through forty percent water scarcity presently, and will be devastated further in a severe dearth of water if the Indus Water Treaty is suspended.

All the Pakistani citizens, other than the diplomats, currently present in India are given an ultimatum to leave India before 1 May. The diplomats are asked to leave India without a time span of 48 hours. On the other hand the Indian high commission who are deployed in Pakistan are also brought back, the official strength of Indian High commission in Pakistan has been down from 55 to 32.

The suspension of the Indus Water Treaty has made a stir in Pakistan. The media, army, political leaders have started giving shallow warnings to India in the name of retaliation, nuclear war, blabbering of India breaking international treaty, international law etc.

One name prominently coming up is Saifullah Kasuri, the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack. He is from LeT and planned the whole attack. He has given a statement on the Indus Water Treaty after the water strike by India. He has said he has no connection with the attack but it is political propaganda by India itself to start war against Pakistan.

If not anything else, this statement clearly indicates the grave impact this water war is going to put on Pakistan.
