Odisha Food Festival 2025 to Celebrate State’s Rich Culinary Heritage in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Food Festival 2025, also known as Odisha Khadya Mahotsav, will be held at the Bhubaneswar Exhibition Ground from December 23 to December 29, showcasing the diverse and vibrant food traditions of the state.

Organised by Bishwa Odia Parivar, the inaugural edition of the festival will feature 140 food stalls, offering an extensive spread of traditional dishes from all 30 districts of Odisha. The event aims to provide visitors with an authentic culinary journey across the state—from Mayurbhanj to Malkangiri and Nuapada to Kendrapara.

A distinctive highlight of the festival is the participation of women from each district, who will prepare and serve local delicacies, preserving traditional recipes and cooking styles passed down through generations. This approach not only ensures authenticity but also promotes women’s participation and cultural representation.

The festival will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and will also host cultural performances, adding colour and vibrancy to the gastronomic experience.

Chairman of Bishwa Odia Parivar, Sajjan Sharma, said the festival is aimed at bringing Odisha’s rich and often underrepresented culinary heritage to the forefront. “Our objective is to celebrate Odisha’s food culture and make it accessible to the public in a single, immersive platform,” he said.

With food, culture and community coming together, the Odisha Food Festival 2025 promises to be a unique cultural experience for residents and visitors alike.
