Bhubaneswar: New Delhi will witness a blend of military strength and cultural heritage during India’s Republic Day parade on January 26 along Kartavya Path, with the Indian Air Force set to showcase a special seven-aircraft flypast formation named “Sindoor.”
According to Air Force Chief A.P. Singh, the formation symbolically recreates the Indian Air Force’s 2025 strikes on terrorist camps linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan. The flypast is expected to be one of the key highlights of the parade, reflecting the IAF’s operational capability and preparedness.
The celebrations will also mark 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram. As part of this commemoration, the Ministry of Culture will present a tableau featuring the original manuscript of the song mounted on a tractor, followed by folk artists representing India’s diverse cultural traditions.
Another notable feature of this year’s parade is CRPF Assistant Commandant Simran Bala, aged 26, who will lead an all-male contingent, drawing attention for breaking traditional gender roles in ceremonial leadership.
Overall, the Republic Day parade will include 30 tableaux depicting themes of national unity, cultural diversity, and self-reliance under the overarching vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The event is expected to combine displays of military prowess with representations of India’s historical legacy and social progress.
